Fargginay Inc., a Chicago-based fragrance company, has released Bacon (pronounced bay-cone), what the company says is the the world’s first cologne/perfume that smells like, well, bacon.

On its company website, Fargginay boasts that 11 essential oils, flowers and herbs mixed in with a hint of bacon combine to create a mouth-watering cologne designed for both men and women. The fragrance’s tagline is “Scent by the gods.”

The cologne, packaged in a sleek bottle, is available online (www.fargginay.com) for $36.

If it were not enough to simply smell like bacon, the company has come up with two formulas it says captures the aromatic complexity of North America’s favorite breakfast meat: Bacon Classic, characterized as a spicy maple scent, and Bacon Gold, a lighter fragrance with a whiff of lemon.
